Four persons , including an off duty police officer have been confirmed dead following a shooting on a walking trail in North Carolina in the United state of America on thursday , 13th Oct . 2022 . The injured ones has been taken to the hospital for treatment , while four other plus an off duty police officer were among the dead . The suspect was arrested by the early hours of friday , 14th , Oct . 2022 .

It was reported that nobody was the target except the school . Three employees of the school were shot and killed by the suspect on monday , the victims were identified as ; Cynthia Peak 61 , Evelyn Dieckans , Hallie Scruggs , Williams Kinney , Katherine Koonce 60 , and Mike Hills 61 . It was reported that the suspect was a former student of the Christian Convenant School , he was armed with three guns , including a Semi-automatic rifle , according to the Nashville Police .
