Entertainment THE US Justice Depertment believes that suspect , Payton Gendron , was motivated by racial hatrad , victims of the shooting were mostly black . According Justice Depertment , Payton faces 26 federal hate crimes and firearms charges which may result to death penalty , and the suspect pleaded not guity to the charges against him , according to Federal Criminal Complaint released on wednesday , Mr Grendron's motive for the mass shooting was to prevent blackbpeople from replacing white people " It was reported that the suspect drove more than 320 km (200) miles to a black most populated neighbourhood in Buffalo, New York , before the shooting . Mr Payton faces 10 counts of hate crime resulting in death , three counts involving bodily injury and 10 counts charges of use of Firearm to commit murder and in relation to violent crime , He will be charged with seperate domestic Terrorism and murder Charges filed by the New York State .
